Scott and River: One Fine Day
It had been some time since Scott had seen River and he felt like he should change that. He went looking for her one day in Winter, smiling a little as he thought of the way her eyes lit up, and how her voice was soft, and warm. He liked her, a lot.
He had been working steadily, and not really paying attention to the passage of time, but when the sudden urge struck him, he knew it was time, time to make things right, and time to see her, and time to take a piece of life back for his own.
Time to find her, and maybe find himself.

KK, ota
KK's transition from sleeping to awake was like a new driver learning stick: all at once and not at all well. Sleeping's not so bad, she thought. It's the damn waking up that gets you every time. The dreams had been memories of her old world, making her not really willing to tuck into bed again. She squinted at the clock and hung her head. It was way too early in the morning to drink herself to sleep, leaving infomericals or burning the midnight oil at the shop. And she might have taken the remote apart a few days ago for diodes.
The cold and dark were biting but bearable as she headed down the Inn's road and into the town proper, to her auto shop. There was always something to work on, either a customer's car or one of the projects kept in the back for off-time. Flicking on the front lights as she went, she left the door open in case other night owls came by, kicked on some Fleetwood Mac and fitted the shop's coffeemaker with the grounds marked 'high octane.'
She headed into the garage, thinking about who needed the TLC and a monkeywrench first.

Harry had finally scrounged enough money together to get the TV fixed, and as such removed himself from the exile he'd went on... a little over a month ago. Extreme to some, but brooding was an artform in wizadry, and one Harry had all but perfected.
With the idiot box placed back on its altar, and the children placed safely in front of it, Harry was tucked away in his room. There was a reasonably quiet conversation going on with Bob, with the occasionally loud "NO NO DON'T," mixed in. It wasn't his fault Bob's attempt to teach him Sumerian off the cuff wasn't succeeding. He finally wiped the chalk off the doorway with a little focus of will (enough to make the TV screen flicker, but nothing more).
"Alright- try this again."

Who: Simon Camden and Sofia Wood What: Meeting, initiating the new guy Where/When: Journey's End Bar/Last Night Warnings: Will update
Simon wasn't entirely sure what was going on. He only knew he wasn't where he thought he was, and nothing looked familiar. But he'd used his phone to post on some communal message board, and a girl had replied, and offered to help. He just had to go down to the bar.
He found the elevators easily enough, and headed down. The bar was right where she'd told him it would be, and he made his way inside. He realised he had no idea what she looked like, as he scanned the people. Seeing a beautiful girl who looked like she was waiting for someone, he thought it might be her, but she was far too beautiful to ever give someone like him the time of day.
He stood where he was, looking and feeling very lost. he didn't dare approach the girl. He didn't want to make a fool of himself, if it wasn't her. If it was her, maybe she'd notice him.

Pony was out and about, enjoying the morning. She had a paper cup full of hot tea, which she was drinking slowly while they walked. The dog, who had finally been given a name, was much better behaved on this walk. He kept close to Ponyo, rather than dragging her forward, and got many treats and pettings for it. "Okay, Momiji. We've got to get Sosuke something for Christmas. But I don't know what would make him happy. I know he'd like anything I give him, but I want this to be special."
The dog didn't answer, but Ponyo hadn't expected him to. She paused at a shop window, peering in. It was full of pretty things, and Ponyo wondered if he wouldn't like a watch.

Clark and Elaine: Domestic Insanity
Clark was sitting in the front lobby of the pet store, and smiling, sipping coffee. He had read the paper, fed the animals, and poked at Elaine, and was just glad to rest. Things here seemed quit again after the brief weirdness where half the town changed genders. He'd been very thrown by that, though it had been fun once he'd stopped trying to figure out what was going on.
Life was pretty good, even if he wasn't sure being trapped in a town like this was conducive to his peace of mind. Seemed like it felt... small. Even flying wasn't as fun when you knew you had a limited area to fly.
He sighed and watched the street outside, wondering what today would bring.
